Wellington Region: Oranga Wairua: Weaving Exhibition

Saturday will see the opening of another group exhibition featuring some of our Toi Poutama students – ‘Oranga Wairua’. This exhibition, held at the Emerging Light gallery in Plimmerton, is a showcase of Māori weaving. The gallery is the perfect venue as it is situated less than three kilometres from Hongoeka marae, where the students have spent the past two years studying weaving traditions under tutor and local artist Kohai Grace. ‘Oranga Wairua’ will have an official opening on Saturday 14th November at 5.30pm and runs till Friday 4th December.
