Hear it!, See It is a collaborative exhibition of art inspired by New Zeland music. This art exhibition will complement New Zealand Music Month with a vibrant range of original works at Bottle Creek Gallery, Pataka Museum of Arts and Cultures, from 19 April to 6 May 2012.
Each art piece will have headphones attached through which the corresponding song will play. This will allow the audience to engage and respond to the conversation between two disciplines.
This project will involve live music performances by the Whitireia Music staff and students from 6 pm to 7 pm on opening night (19 April), and the from 1pm to 2 pm on 29 April and 6 May.
Further to this, two fully funded, youth-focussed, print-making workshops will run for two days at the Pataka Education Centre, facilitated by Basia Smolnicki and Sheyne Tuffery.
