Wi Neera Drive campus: Respect orange cones to avoid having your car towed

Orange cones are periodically placed around campus and used for:

  •  Safety reasons – designed as a minimisation tool to prevent injury or accident (isolation means keeping people away from hazard).
  • Parking – reserved parking requested through maintenance (also supported by a yellow parking sign)

People have been observed removing orange cones from carparks, which has potential safety implications (today – 3 carparks were coned off but cones were subsequently removed so that vehicles could be parked in there. Note: this area was cordoned off specifically for crane access to the building site).  If this happens again, the offending vehicles will be removed (without warning) and will be recoverable at the owner's expense from Porirua City Towing.
