Aim
In this course students will develop an understanding of contemporary nursing in Aotearoa society and will focus on nursing interventions aimed at improving the health and wellbeing of individuals, groups, and Pacific communities in Aotearoa. Students will continue to develop their knowledge of human development across the lifespan.
The significance of Te Tiriti o Waitangi to nursing practice will provide an important basis for the course and students will learn about social determinants of health, issues of power, equity and diversity, social justice, and bicultural partnership. Students will continue to develop core communication skills including
academic scholarship.
