We will be having a pōwhiri on Monday 29 July to welcome new students for Semester 2, at 10am, Wineera Drive campus.
Our focus is on making the pōwhiri process relevant and meaningful for our new students, and ensuring that their first formal encounter with Whitireia is a positive one.
Student helpers welcome! We would like as many of us as possible supporting and participating in the pōwhiri and welcoming our new students in such a way that reinforces they have come to the right place for their tertiary education and that, whoever they are, wherever they are from, this is the place for them.
If you have any questions at all, or are available to support and volunteer to assist with any of the many tasks that need to be done for the pōwhiri, please do not hesitate to contact us:
- Tama Kirikiri (ext 3628)
- Jo Prestwood (ext 3628, jo.prestwood@whitireia.ac.nz)
- Willis Katene (ext 6233, willis.katene@whitireia.ac.nz)
- Ria Tomoana (ext 3952)
